30 Back From HK

Is it a shocker for me to say that shopping in HK was disappointing?

Checked out whatever was left of the Comme des Garçons for H&M collection at the Central store and was unimpressed. Normal looking cotton long sleeve collared shirts at S$140? They would look like any other shirt from G2000 if I just ripped off the tag! I guess all the more popular polka dotted stuff was snapped up on the first day.

BUT.. I still managed to walk away with a one of the polka dot cardigans. Last piece left and I held on to it for dear life even though 3 other ladies came up to me asking where I found my item. Hehe. All I can say is that I utilised my stalking skills to the max.

At the H&M Langham store, I was surprised to see the polka dot weekender bag there. Tried it on and it was HUGE. Guess it's quite obvious why it's still there then.

I need to learn to curb my obsession with polka dots.

Goyard was also disappointing. The pink colour still looks too light to me. And they had no more St Louis totes left in PM or GM. o_o I really wanted something in green or blue. But oh well.

Twist was also a letdown as whatever I liked wasn't in my size, and whatever was left, didn't justify the price even after markdowns. The Miu Miu flats I have been eyeing for ages were slashed down by 55% but alas, no size for me.

Anteprima plastiq was also a let down. Or maybe I have just lost interest in their bags. They had a really attractive offer but oh well. Btw, there is an SG Anteprima warehouse sale of up to 70% off tmrw. Check out their advertisement in the Life! newspapers.

Aiya everything disappointed lah. Even Prada and Miu Miu who seem to have gone a bit overboard with jewels. As for LV, it's now the same price as SG! I blame the rising USD. Anyway, I would therefore rather maintain my SG customer acc than get the thrill of buying something overseas.

But I did buy 2 pairs of Nine West shoes at 50% off! The current Nine West stores in SG have a lame 'sale' that gives 10% off with certain credit cards. That's not a sale. Having 50% off on half the store is a sale! And I also went a bit crazy on handphone keychains with food charms. :) We bought a total of 14 different keychains!

I think it's pretty obvious that I am obsessed with prints and fake foods.

Well I guess it's a good thing that I didn't leave HK with a much lighter pocket! Work tmrw and I am looking forward to it. :)
